Research improved steel grades for cuirasses
At the close of XVII century, cavalry armor was fundamentally changed. It became smaller, comprised no bracers or leg-guards, and sometimes even no back
cuirass. Owing to smaller size, the armor thickness was increased. This fact, along with using more durable steel grades, allowed repelling bullets and cold
steel effectively.
